  • Earlier this month, we conducted a spiritual conference in Yangon which resulted in 12 decisions for Christ!
  • At another location in Yangon, one of our house churches had four Buddhists accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Three of these persons are widowers who are struggling with a variety of challenges ranging from an alcoholic son to a special needs daughter to a son in prison for peacefully protesting against the junta.
  • Among the various trauma healing-related situations with which our staff is dealing regards a 19-year old boy coping with periodic suicidal thoughts. The fighting between his parents is dividing the family, and placing him in the stressful middle by being a reluctant confidant for one parent and the subject of regular criticism by the other parent.
  • We have a house church in the Mandalay area being led by a Christian woman married to a member of the local police force who is a Buddhist. (Keep in mind that the police forces throughout the country have been opted into the junta since early in the coup.) After months of observing his wife and others demonstrate the unconditional love to neighboring Buddhists through acts of kindness, his curiosity has resulted in his acceptance of Jesus Christ. He now leads the local food distribution program that your donations have made possible.
